Week three of the pre season is usually the more exciting one. We are able to see the starters settle down for a little bit and play a couple quarters. As fans we are able to see where our team is at and how recently signed free agents and top draft picks are doing. Some teams are disappointing and others showing they have what it takes. Here are the big hits from this week. Sam Bradford Out For the Season QB Sam Bradford of the St Louis Rams hyper extended the same knee he injured last season. He will miss the season which is unfortunate because according to many this was a make or break year for him. The San Francisco 49ers just signed, or you could say re-signed their 2003 4th round draft pick Brandon Lloyd. He was reported visiting with the team this week. After a year out of football has signed a one year deal with one of the NFL’s top teams. Nothing is said he is guaranteed a spot next year and will have to earn it through training camp. When he was with the 49ers during his first three years in the NFL he had 105 receptions for 1510 yards and 13 TDs. The three years were scattered with huge Sports Center top play catches, dropped passes, and inconsistency. In 2010 he hit it big by being the NFL’s top receiver with 1,448 yards when he was with the Broncos. The following season he was traded to the Rams where he put up decent numbers, and had another solid year in 2012 with the Patriots. Rumors were that he ...
