Look past the tattoos, the often sported mow-hawk and lots of bad life decisions and you have Chris Andersen, a very talented center who works in the NBA. Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen, who currently plays for the Miami Heat has had a hell of a ride . No, I’m not talking about his not making it to the NBA because he didn’t know he had to fill out an application for the NBA Draft. I’m not talking about his father that abandoned his family when he was four, nor his 2 year suspension from testing positive for drugs. In May 2012, Andersen’s life was turned upside down when he was accused of being a child molester. But, little did anyone, including the Birdman himself know, that he was actually part of an elaborate catfishing hoax. In early 2010, a young woman named Roxanne had sent Chris Andersen mail with photos of ...

NFL representatives for the 2015 Super Bowl that will be hosted at the Arizona Cardinals home turf, University of Phoenix Stadium  have reportedly reached out to some of the world’s biggest musicians asking them if they’d be willing to pay part of their post-tour earnings to the NFL in exchange for being allowed to perform at one of the world’s biggest sporting events. Now, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the NFL’s shady practices of making people surrender to their demands. Only two months ago, the NFL had accidentally leaked their Super Bowl Committee requirements which demanded that hotels, cities, teams and stadiums tailor to the NFL’s every need and carry the massive cost associated with running one of the most watched programs on TV. The NFL doesn’t typically pay for top Musicians to come and perform during the Super Bowl Half Time Show. In fact, the only thing that they pay for ...

Fantasy football season is coming upon us pretty fast. It’s the time of year for drafting and managing the perfect team to prove to your peers that you know more about football than they do. We’ll do whatever it takes to have the perfect season. We do heavy research, we  are constantly looking for player updates and making trades. This often happens during work hours and as Challenge, Gray & Christmas, Inc. have shown, it has become the time of year that employers dread. This fantasy football season is estimated to waste around $13 Billion of employee payroll money. While it’s hard to get a real estimate, the numbers actually make some sense. The math goes like this: 31 Million Working Age Employees X 2 hours/day of fantasy team management for 15 weeks X $24.45 (average hourly earnings) ________________________________________ = $13B in wasted money for employers   Companies often encourage this ...

Andy Dalton knew he was going to re-sign with the Bengals but, he went for the stars with his new big contract with the Cincinnati Bengals. With his new cool $116, 6 year contract, Dalton will have the 6th biggest contract in the NFL, positioning himself right under Payton Manning and above Colin Keapernick’s newest ‘team friendly’ contract although he’s ranked about 12th in passing. Dalton has stood out among his peers and his coaches which most likely helped him get the deal. When Coach Marvin”Andy’s done a fine job for us. We all want to be better. Once he does that, all of that will go away. He’s being compared with Drew Brees, he’s being compared with [Aaron] Rodgers, guys who didn’t get a chance to play right away. They sat and watched. We threw Andy in right away. He’s done a really good job,” said Bengels Coach, Marvin Lewis. With Andy Dalton’s ...

It’s not everyday you see barehanded plays in baseball and it’s definitely something that you don’t learn in Little League. As players become more and more experienced, they build the hand-eye coordination that allows them to do this when time is running out to make a play. Earlier today Andrelton Simmons made a fantastic barehanded play for the Braves. He scooped a ball from short stop and thew a bullet to first, robbing Will Venable of a single if it would have gone to any other shortstop on any other team. Not to be outdone, Brewers Jean Segura and Mark Reynolds used a barehanded relay to get a runner out at third.  After backing up a fair ball in shallow right that bounced into foul territory, Mark Reynolds does a one handed recovery and lobs the ball to Segura who barehanded it to third base preventing a triple. Talk about team work. However fantastic ...
