The Cleveland Cavaliers are ready to go all-in for Kevin Love. ESPN.com’s Chris Broussard says: The Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland have discussed a blockbuster trade centered on Kevin Love and the league’s past two No. 1 draft picks, league sources told ESPN. In an attempt to add Love, a three-time All-Star, the Cavaliers are willing to part with Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett. One source said the Cavs also are willing to give up a first-round draft pick for next season. Any other players involved in the talks are not known. The Timberwolves would be insane to turn down such an offer. They’re stalling right now because they’re hoping to get a better offer. The T’Wolves will try and use this offer as leverage against other teams such as the Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns, and Boston Celtics. But no one can beat Cleveland’s offer. I’m certain that Kevin Love will join the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Wolves ...

Stan Van Gundy is hoping to keep Greg Monroe in Detroit. But several teams have expressed interest in acquiring the young big man, and the Phoenix Suns are reportedly first in line. [We] tried to make a very strong case for ourselves and for our organization. I think that we’ve tried to make him understand what we’re trying to do and why we think he’s an important part of it, but again, he’s got some decisions to make, too. We hope it goes our way, but if not, we’ll adjust and move on. To make this work, Van Gundy and the Pistons have been trying to move Josh Smith to reassure Monroe that there won’t be a logjam in the Pistons’ frontcourt. Monroe is only 24 years old and it’s quite obvious that he has huge potential. But if Smith is unable to find a new home, then Monroe may ...

Many NBA teams consider Eric Bledsoe as the best free agent still available. Although his desire to secure a max contract may have scared teams away from approaching him with an offer sheet. Bledsoe, an unrestricted free agent, turned down an offer from the Suns that would have netted him $48 million over four years, or $12 million a year. But that isn’t good enough for the combo guard. The Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks are now reportedly very interested in acquiring Bledsoe via sign-and-trade. From Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe: Before the Lakers decided to make an amnesty claim for Carlos Boozer, occupying more than $3.2 million on their salary cap to ensure more space next summer, NBA sources said they considered making a bid for Phoenix restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe. Although the Lakers already acquired former Harvard standout Jeremy Lin and his $14 million salary for this upcoming ...

After meeting with the Heat, LeBron will go on to meet several other teams for face-to-face meetings this week as well. The Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets have emerged as front runners for the “LeBron James Sweepstakes” – it will be interesting to see where he lands. We all know that Kevin Love is unhappy with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He’s been playing in the NBA for six season and he’s a star big-man in the NBA. Despite his spectacular stats as the power forward for the Timberwolves, Love has yet to make a postseason appearance. This would explain why Love is frustrated with the Timberwolves organization. But Flip Saunders thinks otherwise. “Just like I told Garnett, he didn’t have a right to be frustrated,” Saunders told KFAN 100.3 in Minneapolis-St. Paul on Saturday, per ESPN. “Why does any player have a right to be frustrated? You’re either part of the problem or part of the solution. “Should the team be frustrated? Yeah, the team can be frustrated. But I don’t think any one individual should be frustrated.” Saunders believes Love can’t force himself out of Minnesota because he is still under contract with the Timberwolves for at least one ...

After losing Dwight Howard to the Houston Rockets in free agency, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking to make a splash in free agency this summer. They have their hearts set on bouncing back from their disastrous season. Jim Buss and Mitch Kupchak believe the Lakers need an upgrade at point guard. Steve Nash is too old to be the starting point guard for the team, and Jordan Farmar just doesn’t cut it. Well guess who is on their radar? Point guard Kyle Lowry is coming off a career season with the Toronto Raptors. The Lakers are interested in signing the 28-year-old point guard. During the 2013-14 regular NBA season, Lowry averaged 18 PPG, 7.4 APG, 5 RPG and 1.5 SPG in a career-high 36 minutes per game. Along with DeMar DeRozan, he led the Toronto Raptors to the third-seed in the eastern conference. The Lakers lack a scoring punch ...

Hold off on all your trade scenarios for power forward Kevin Love. It seems like the Minnesota Timberwolves will keep Love on their roster for the upcoming 2014-15 NBA season. Team President Flip Saunders is unwilling to trade Kevin Love, because he still has hopes of convincing Love to stay with the team that drafted him in 2008. Saunders wants other teams to know that it’s the Timberwolves who are in control, so that should end any conversations of a pre-draft departure from Love. The threat of Kevin Love walking away after just one season in a new uniform is too great for teams to completely break the bank for the highly sought big man. Looks like we’ll have to wait a while before we hear more news about the Kevin Love sweepstakes. I still think that the Wolves need to wake up and trade him away before he walks ...
