Review Category : Carmelo Anthony

LeBron James isn’t the only NBA player losing weight. New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony is also on a hardcore diet, a photo of him posted on Instagram showed him looking very lean. Anthony has lost the weight as he is preparing himself for the triangle offense. First-year head coach Derek Fisher will be implementing Phil Jackson’s successful triangle offense with the New York Knicks. Anthony wants to be as athletic as he was when he was a rookie. It’s good to see him get in shape because he’s very talented. He’s been somewhat chubby over the past few years, much of his game is based of his shooting touch. Melo has supposedly shed over 20 lbs this offseason, mainly off a no-carb diet. He’s a phenomenal scorer who can light it up from anywhere, so we expect Anthony to have a big year this season. Jackson’s offense is famous ...

New York Knicks super star athlete is leveraging his brand yet again with his new venture capital firm, M7 Tech Partners, LLC. Melo along with co-founder and partner, Stuart Goldfarb have secured their first investment during quarter 2 last year in a new children’s media startup called Hullabalu, along with over 20 other investors. They’ve gotten off to a great start and adding Stuart Goldfarb, who is a seasoned entrepreneur and marketer was a good move. Stuart has a lot of experience in entertainment, marketing, ecommerce, has held a handful of executive positions and has been a board member of Vitacost.com and Beachmint.com. Goldfarb has led companies like WWE, INC., CDNow.com and bol.com with a lot of success and has helped turn them into the major brands that they are today. Despite Melo’s recent courting by the LA Lakers and the Chicago Bulls, Carmelo Anthony is going to stick with the Knicks and go after a championship. He will make his official announcement on Thursday as players won’t be able to sign contracts until tomorrow until their free-agent moratorium ends. Leon Rose, Anthony’s agent has said that “no decision” has been reached but, a source told the Daily News that Anthony “wants to get it done in New York” and has expressed that he believes in that Phil Jackson and the New York Knicks. The Knicks have recently offered the NBA’s second best scorer a maximum contract of $129 Million for 5 years which is more than $30 million more than the Bulls or lakers have offered. The next move for the Knicks is to get free agent Pau Gasol on board. The Knicks haven’t won an NBA title championship since 1973 and they’re working hard to improve their roster for ...

Can people stop hating on Melo? He’s one of the best players in the NBA. Despite him playing his heart out, the New York Knicks are still losing games. If Toronto, Chicago and Phoenix can win games without a superstar player, then I’m confident the Knicks can find a way to win too.   ...

IN YOUR FACE. That one hurt for New York Knicks fans, it was pretty much like a dagger right in the heart. It was vintage Nowitzki with a game winning buzzer beater. Once a shooter, always a shooter. Kudos to you Dirk, you are one bad man. You are such a bad man that even Melo was in awe… ...

We all expected Metta World Peace to say something about Melo after his departure from New York. After getting waived the New York Knicks, World Peace has finally opened up about Carmelo Anthony. “Kobe doesn’t give a (bleep), he just wants to win,” Metta told the NY Daily News. “Melo needs to be more demanding and he needs to see results. The only difference between him and Kobe is that Kobe saw results. When Kobe said something people did that (stuff). Carmelo has no choice but to make it his personality because he’s a great player. There are not too many guys like him.” So basically, Metta is telling Carmelo to man up and become more of a leader. We all know Melo is one of the best scorers in the league, more than his leadership, it’s really a matter of finding him the right supporting cast. The Knicks need to ...

This has become a very normal gesture for New York Knicks fans. Carmelo Anthony shakes his head out of pure disappointment nearly every game. It’s hard to believe the Knicks had the No. 2 seed in the eastern conference last year. They are now sitting at the bottom of their conference with a 21-35 record. After consecutive losses to both the Orlando Magic and Atlanta Hawks, it sure seems like the Knicks are giving Melo every reason to leave their organization. At this point, I believe Melo has his heart set on winning a championship. However, the likelihood of him winning one as the star player for the Knicks is diminishing as we speak. The Knicks must focus on freeing up salary cap space to show Melo that they’re making moves to surround him with the right players. It doesn’t take a genius to realize Melo is looking for reasons ...

Felton is tired of being called overweight and out of shape. Stop making fun of him people! According to Newsday‘s Al Iannazzone, Felton said: “I had one year when I was out of shape, now everybody wants to talk about my weight every year. It’s kind of getting old. It’s kind of getting on my nerves that that’s all you want to talk about.” Now that he’s healthy and he can play better, Felton should finally be ready to spend more time working on his game, and his body, on the floor. Good luck Felli Fel… Either way, we know that Carmelo can’t wait to get you out of New York!   ...
