Despite Melo’s recent courting by the LA Lakers and the Chicago Bulls, Carmelo Anthony is going to stick with the Knicks and go after a championship. He will make his official announcement on Thursday as players won’t be able to sign contracts until tomorrow until their free-agent moratorium ends. Leon Rose, Anthony’s agent has said that “no decision” has been reached but, a source told the Daily News that Anthony “wants to get it done in New York” and has expressed that he believes in that Phil Jackson and the New York Knicks. The Knicks have recently offered the NBA’s second best scorer a maximum contract of $129 Million for 5 years which is more than $30 million more than the Bulls or lakers have offered. The next move for the Knicks is to get free agent Pau Gasol on board. The Knicks haven’t won an NBA title championship since 1973 and they’re working hard to improve their roster for ...

LeBron James is finally ready to meet with Miami Heat president Pat Riley. James will have a face-to-face meeting with Riley this week. He has taken a methodical approach since opting out of his contract. James and his agent, Rich Paul put a plan in place, and it included LeBron taking some time off with family to watch how the free agent market unfolds. After meeting with the Heat, LeBron will go on to meet several other teams for face-to-face meetings this week as well. The Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets have emerged as front runners for the “LeBron James Sweepstakes” – it will be interesting to see where he lands. He could sign a short-term contract with the Miami Heat, or a long term contract elsewhere. In 2010, Riley convinced James to move to South Beach so that he could win multiple championships. He ...

Game 1 of the NBA Finals will always be known as the game LeBron James became the ‘king of the flop.’  All NBA players do it. They fake injuries, fouls and whatever they can to get the advantage but, arguably, no one does it better than Lebron James. King James is Now Known as #LeBroning Since Game 1 of the NBA Finals, LeBron has become somewhat of an internet sensation. LeBroning as people call it has become a new meme and now everyone is impersonating LeBron’s famous flop. Take a look at some of the be #leBroning photos from around the web. #LeBroning -The action of throwing yourself to the floor after a light brush by another player person or animal (sometimes no one at all).  Followed by an angry facial expression claiming it is not in any way your fault that you are on the ground acted upon by ...

When we heard about the broken A/C at AT&T Center in San Antonio, we knew something was coming. I just didn’t think it would affect LeBron James of all people. Game 1 of the 2014 NBA Finals will forever be known as the “Cramp Game” just like Jordan’s “Flu Game,” except this one ended with a disappointing loss. The A/C broke down early in the second half of the game and the temperatures inside the stadium were in the 90s. Early in the third quarter, Coach Erik Spoelstra took LeBron out due to exhaustion. During breaks, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh draped themselves in ice and were seen chugging cold water. The most stunning thing happened in the fourth quarter though – Lebron asked to exit the game in the fourth quarter. He stood as if he was a statue unable to move under his own cramps. He ...

It’s been the talk of the town that Gatorade’s twitter account spent time trolling LeBron James after he cramped out of Game 1 of the 2014 NBA Finals. Luckily for them, Dwyane Wade is one of their athletes. Interestingly, he was still on the court and he played the entire 4th quarter. Here’s the good news: The Gatorade tweets trolling King James have been deleted. They were only visible for about 10 hours. Since LeBron decided to take his talents elsewhere and join Gatorade’s competitor – Powerade. It’s only natural to expect a comeback from Powerade. Here’s a tweet from the official twitter account of Powerade: Consistency, unselfishness and a drive to succeed. Congrats @KingJames on 4,000+ points and 1,000+ assists in the post-season. #powerthrough — POWERADE (@POWERADE) June 6, 2014   ...

In the midst of a 4th consecutive NBA Finals appearance for LeBron James and the Miami Heat, the debate and comparison always seems to be on every website and radio wave; King James vs Air Jordan. Although everyone admits LeBron is the best player in the world right now, most (basically everyone outside of Miami) are saying that Jordan was better. Michael Jordan did amazing things. He dominated the league for a decade and had performances that launched him to be celebrated as the best player ever.  Think about this though: Michael Jordan had his success during the 90’s when ESPN and Sports Center worked their way into our homes. Gone were the days where missing a game would send you to find the sports section of the newspaper. You could watch every highlight and play of Jordan’s spectacular performances. Because of this, MJ’s career has become a glorified untouchable ...

During an interview with The Plain Dealer, University of Kentucky coach John Calipari stated that he would love a chance to coach Miami Heat forward LeBron James. Calipari told Mary Schmitt Boyer: “Are you kidding me? Have a chance to coach the best player in the world? Yes, I would love to coach him.” But Coach Cal doesn’t actually think he’ll have an opportunity to coach the NBA’s most popular player anytime soon. It’s highly unlikely Erik Spoelstra loses his Miami Heat job, and it’s even more unlikely that LeBron will go back to Cleveland. Under Pat Riley’s leadership, the Heat have been in four consecutive eastern conference finals, so I’m certain LeBron will stay in Miami. Hypothetically speaking, it would be a dream come true for fans in Cleveland if he did return. LeBron James coming back home, teaming up with Kyrie Irving and joining forces with a great basketball ...

Dwight Howard is known for his sense of humor. So with today being April Fool’s Day, we all expected something from the comical big guy! Dwight directed his joke at 2x NBA Champion LeBron James. Hmm… now I know LeBron to be a very emotional guy. He won’t seem like he cares, but we all know he’s self conscious about his hairline. That’s messed up Dwight. Funny joke, but you’re just mean. LeBron should make a meme of Dwight Howard being ringless! That would be pretty darn funny… ...

The Milwaukee Bucks are nearing a buyout with veteran forward Caron Butler. The Miami Heat are believed to be top suitors pursuing Butler. How cool would a reunion be in Miami?   Everyone remembers Butler playing alongside Dwyane Wade and Lamar Odom. Back in the early 2000’s they were the original grit-n-grind team. Butler brings a lot of veteran experience to this team, he’s got playoff experience, and he can hit big shots in big moments. He would be a great addition to an even better team featuring LeBron and Co. ...

Thanks to Serge Ibaka’s cheap hit, LeBron James is now listed as inactive for the remaining week. This is new for King James, he’s not used to kicking it on the bench. Unlike Derrick Rose, LeBron seemed restless and he was looking for ways to be involved in the game. Rather than sitting there depressed and quite, LeBron was busy chatting it up with his teammates. He even made a three-point shot underhanded. The look on Coach Thibs face was priceless. ...
