Fantasy Football: Play ‘Em or Sit ‘Em

Who you should look to start this week and who you might want to consider benching, Week 11 Play ‘Em Colin Kaepernick: Kaepernick has thrown for 3 scores in the last 3 weeks and also turned the ball over 4 times in that span. He also hasn’t had a rushing touchdown at all this year. His performances have been sinking lately, but luckily for him the San Francisco 49ers play the New York Giants this week who are allowing the 5th most passing yards per game in the league. Look for Kaepernick to turn things around this weekend. My prediction: He throws for 315 yards and 2 touchdowns. That rushing touchdown just might not happen this year. Mark Ingram: Ingram has been averaging 130.7 yards a game over the last 3 weeks with 24 carries being his lowest total in that span. This week the Saints play the Cincinnati Bengals, ...

Three Reasons to Keep an Eye on the Detroit Lions

Image Credit Tim Fuller/USA Today Best Overall Defense In The League Who would’ve thought that in week 11 of the regular season that the Lions would have the best overall defense in the league? Other than Lions fans I would say nobody! They are allowing a total of 283.4ypg, they are 3rd in passing defense allowing only 212.1ypg, and 2nd in rushing defense only allowing 71.3ypg. They’ll definitely be challenged when they head to Arizona to play against the Cardinals. They have one of the better defensive lines in the league which is lead by Ndamukong Suh, in which they are 8th in total sacks with 26. Calvin Johnson Is Back Calvin Johnson (Megatron) is back! This last game against the Dolphins was his first game back after missing 3 games with a high ankle sprain. He looks like he’s back in mid season form after having a great game ...

Two Reasons Byron Scott Can Turn Around the Lakers’ Season

Have you been wondering if the Lakers are going to turn their season around?  Beginning the season with one win and six losses is not the start Coach Byron Scott, the Lakers, and the Laker fans had in mind. Yet I believe there are at least two reasons why Scott is the right man to catapult the Lakers from failure mode into success mode.  1. Scott is a proven loser – Back in 2010 the Cleveland Cavs had just lost Lebron to the Miami Heat. With King James absent from the throne the Cavs they went on a 26 game losing streak. Anyone remember who was the head coach at the time? Yeah that’s right; Byron Scott was at the helm. Obviously I’m not asking for a streak of 20+ losses for the Lakers, but if there’s a head coach in the league right now that knows how to endure ...

Four Names to Remember When You Vote for the Pro Bowl

2014 NFL Pro Bowl voting has started! We usually tend to vote for our favorite team players, then the super stars, even if they haven’t been very good. I remember when Adrian Wilson finally made it when he was on the Arizona Cardinals in 2006, Five years after he was drafted. He was on a bad Arizona Cardinals team so he was over looked for so long, even though he made an NFL record 8 sacks for a defensive back in one season the year before. Right now there are many new faces, and players we might over look. Take a look at players that shouldn’t be over looked this year, and cast your votes here. Brian Hoyer, Cleveland Browns There are three quarterbacks in the AFC that will get the votes. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Andrew Luck. Though all of them are impressive this year, Hoyer deserves a ...
