The Oakland Raiders had a ton of money to spend last year and they let down their whole fan base. Justin Tuck was a good pick up, and Charles Woodson was fantastic. Woodson was actually under paid and might be under paid again this year but that is a different story. Reggie McKenzie should be feeling the pressure this offseason. He blew it by getting rid of Hugh Jackson for Dennis Allen, he blew it with last years free agency signings when he had more than $60 million to spend, and Raider Nation is praying he wont make the same mistakes again in 2015. We will take a look at the best fits for the Raiders in free agency. Not just the biggest names, but what makes sense when we also think of the 2015 NFL Draft. We aren’t going to over do it and make a dream team. Keeping ...

Lamar Odom played a big role for the Los Angeles Lakers under head coach Phil Jackson. He helped the legendary NBA franchise win back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010. He also won NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2011. After being arrested over the summer on a DUI charge, the former 4th overall pick in the 1999 draft took this season off to get his life back together. It’s very possible he may sign with the New York Knicks for the veteran’s minimum. Odom recently sat down with Phil Jackson during the Brooklyn Nets – New York Knicks game. Jackson seems to be on a talent hunt, and it seems like he still believes in the troubled Odom. It’ll be interesting to see if Odom can make a successful comeback. He was great at leading the Lakers second unit as a point forward. He was very close to contributing ...

Many times, General Managers around the league will try their best to bolster their rosters by picking up big-name free agents. Often times, these expensive free agents will fail to live up to the hype. Eating up salary-cap rarely leads a team to a Super Bowl championship. The smartest way to build a successful NFL team is by adding free-agents for a bargain. It’s all about finding a player that suits your system. Here are some bargain free agents that are still available in the open market: 10. Eric Henderson, LB, Minnesota Vikings The versatile linebacker has a respectable resume racking up 262 tackles with 8.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and a pair of interceptions in 43 games over the last three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. He even started 33 of those games, and he’s still in his prime. He’s only 27 and he happens to play a position ...

Metta World Peace went to New York after being waived by the Los Angeles Lakers during the offseason. MWP thought it would be a great way to end his career. He planned on chasing another title alongside Carmelo Anthony. Unfortunately, his tenure with the New York Knicks was very disappointing. He was often injured and out of the rotation. Earlier this year, he and the Knicks organization agreed to part ways through a buyout. It’ll be interesting to see where World Peace ends up next season, he’s supposedly very interested in a second stint with the New York Knicks. Why would he want to go back to the Knicks again? Well that’s easy… Phil Jackson is running the show now. ...

The last two seasons have been rough for Pau Gasol. He’s fallen out of Mike D’Antoni’s rotation numerous times and he’s been the center of trade talks for the Los Angeles Lakers for quite some time. With a dismal record, and no hope of reaching the 2014 NBA playoffs, the Lakers are now leaning towards sitting Gasol for the rest of the season, and this could very well end his tenure with the franchise. This season, the veteran big man averaged 17.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. It’ll be interesting to see his list of suitors in free agency.   ...

Raiders continue signing veteran defenders with their newest pick up Carlos Rogers, according to their Twitter account. He is just coming across the Bay from the 49ers. He has started every game for the 49ers since signing with them in 2011. Rogers had a few lingering injuries last year that slowed him down and his cap number of almost $5.1 million made him expendable. The 49ers were interested in signing him for a smaller figure, but he chose Oakland instead.   Rogers makes him the 2nd 49ers corner the Raiders have signed. Earlier in free agency Tarell Brown signed with the Raiders. Both have playoff and super bowl experience. The Raiders seem to want players who have that winning experience. They also signed super bowl winners Lamar Woodly and Justin Tuck. Though all these players are past their prime, they have plenty to offer a Raiders defense that lacks some talent. Even ...

New England hasn’t forgotten how the Denver Broncos shredded them through the air in the AFC Championship game. That might be why they made two huge pickups this free agency. They have signed Darrell Revis to a two year $32 million deal and Brandon Browner to a three year $17 million deal. Revis’ deal is back loaded with a $20 million 2nd year option for the Patriots. He comes off a strong year in Tampa Bay that was overshadowed with Tampa Bays bad season and coaching controversy. He is still arguably the leagues top corner. He is a Hall of Fame type corner and that is why they let Talib leave to the Broncos. To follow up the Revis signing, they landed Pro Bowl corner Brandon Browner. One of the biggest and most physical corners in the league. He can match up with anyone and is physical in run defense. He was suspended this ...

Today the Green Bay Packers signed Julius Peppers to a huge 3 year deal worth up to $30 million according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson. $7.5 million guaranteed and $8.5 million salary in the first year. A surprising price considering his age and drop in sack numbers the last couple years. He still has a high motor though and will definitely help a very poor defense. The Packers are trying to fill holes on that front line and Peppers will be perfect. He will likely line up in between re-signed B.J. Raji and clay Matthews. Peppers will be reunited with his old defensive coordinator from Carolina, Mike Trgavoc, who is currently the defensive line coach. It is a solid pick up and peppers believes he has plenty left to offer. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a great year. Julius Peppers was a cap casualty as he was to count $18 million against the ...
