The Oakland Raiders had a ton of money to spend last year and they let down their whole fan base. Justin Tuck was a good pick up, and Charles Woodson was fantastic. Woodson was actually under paid and might be under paid again this year but that is a different story. Reggie McKenzie should be feeling the pressure this offseason. He blew it by getting rid of Hugh Jackson for Dennis Allen, he blew it with last years free agency signings when he had more than $60 million to spend, and Raider Nation is praying he wont make the same mistakes again in 2015. We will take a look at the best fits for the Raiders in free agency. Not just the biggest names, but what makes sense when we also think of the 2015 NFL Draft. We aren’t going to over do it and make a dream team. Keeping ...

CHAMPS Julius Peppers Green Bay Packers free agent acquisition hasn’t been delivering on the big contract he received. Part of it might have to do with him no longer in a three point stance and rushing the passer every down, but last Thursday night he had a great game. Getting half a sack, and also returning an interception for a touchdown. That gives the sack artist 10 interceptions on his career. Russell Wilson The Seahawks have one of the best talents a QB. They are a running team, and Wilson got in on the mix. He usually stays in the pocket and makes the throws he needs to, but Monday night he took off running for 122 yards and a touchdown. He also had a 75 % completion percentage. The man can’t be stopped. Dez Bryant’s Overtime Catch Tony Romo might have made the list if he wasn’t so lucky. ...

In March, Roddy White of the Atlanta Falcons bet a bet with a Twitter follower that he would get him season tickets on the 50 yard line if Mercer beat Duke in the second round of the 2014 NCAA tournament. @DHoyt77 if mercer beat duke I will give you season tickets 50 yard line first row — Roddy White (@roddywhiteTV) March 18, 2014 Well, as we all know Mercer upset Duke. Roddy White didn’t want to pay up, even giving the lame excuse that it is illegal to bet in the NFL. The good news is he came through in late March and got two season tickets, two Super Bowl tickets, and invited him to be a guest at Falcons Training Camp. Pretty cool for that fan. With Roddy White taking care of this, there is still one super star, and super rich QB that hasn’t paid up. When Ryan ...

Making the playoffs isn’t an easy task. Teams with a lot of promise coming into the season can end up free falling and not making it back to the playoffs. Just look at last year. There were high hopes for the Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins, and even the then defending super bowl champions Baltimore Ravens. Tony Gonzales came back for one more year because he had the hopes to make it to the big game with the Falcons. That didn’t work out and the Falcons were the worst team in their division. The NFL is unpredictable, but that won’t stop us from predicting who won’t make the playoffs next year. I believe the biggest change will be in the NFC because it is a more competitive conference.     The San Diego Chargers They are a hit or miss team. It usually depends on which Phillip Rivers shows ...

The Green Bay Packers are one of the few teams in the NFL that are fortunate enough to have a top quarterback like Aaron Rodgers. They don’t have to concern themselves with the top quarterback prospects as they already have one of the QBs in the game. Despite having their quarterback situation figured out, they’re still looking at drafting a QB at some point in the 2014 NFL draft. Even if they sign a veteran QB as a backup, the Packers are expected to take a developmental quarterback at some point. According to ESPN.com’s Green Bay Packers Blog: Given how much the backup quarterback position was an issue last season, it’s surprising that they are still sitting there with only Scott Tolzien behind Rodgers. But even if the Packers re-sign Flynn, there’s a good chance they’ll also draft a quarterback with a mid- to late-round pick. Mike McCarthy said he would like to have ...

Today the Green Bay Packers signed Julius Peppers to a huge 3 year deal worth up to $30 million according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson. $7.5 million guaranteed and $8.5 million salary in the first year. A surprising price considering his age and drop in sack numbers the last couple years. He still has a high motor though and will definitely help a very poor defense. The Packers are trying to fill holes on that front line and Peppers will be perfect. He will likely line up in between re-signed B.J. Raji and clay Matthews. Peppers will be reunited with his old defensive coordinator from Carolina, Mike Trgavoc, who is currently the defensive line coach. It is a solid pick up and peppers believes he has plenty left to offer. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a great year. Julius Peppers was a cap casualty as he was to count $18 million against the ...
