The Oakland Raiders had a ton of money to spend last year and they let down their whole fan base. Justin Tuck was a good pick up, and Charles Woodson was fantastic. Woodson was actually under paid and might be under paid again this year but that is a different story. Reggie McKenzie should be feeling the pressure this offseason. He blew it by getting rid of Hugh Jackson for Dennis Allen, he blew it with last years free agency signings when he had more than $60 million to spend, and Raider Nation is praying he wont make the same mistakes again in 2015. We will take a look at the best fits for the Raiders in free agency. Not just the biggest names, but what makes sense when we also think of the 2015 NFL Draft. We aren’t going to over do it and make a dream team. Keeping ...

The Oakland Raiders could arguably be the most hated team in the NFL. And they are especially hated in their rival teams city San Diego. Though teams, and fans alike no longer need to hate the Raiders for their physical, and what some used to think 20 years ago violent, and against the rules style of play, they still can hate on the Raider fans. Raider Nation is a wild and hardcore fan base. They get dressed up, hyped up, and get loud for their undeserving team. A Bail bondsman in San Diego saw a great opportunity this past weekend to get some advertising. “King” Stahlman bail bonds made a commercial pointing out why they loved when the Raiders come to town to play the San Diego Chargers. Take a look here: Raider fans show up in big numbers in San Diego. Some not having to travel to far since the ...

2014 NFL Pro Bowl voting has started! We usually tend to vote for our favorite team players, then the super stars, even if they haven’t been very good. I remember when Adrian Wilson finally made it when he was on the Arizona Cardinals in 2006, Five years after he was drafted. He was on a bad Arizona Cardinals team so he was over looked for so long, even though he made an NFL record 8 sacks for a defensive back in one season the year before. Right now there are many new faces, and players we might over look. Take a look at players that shouldn’t be over looked this year, and cast your votes here. Brian Hoyer, Cleveland Browns There are three quarterbacks in the AFC that will get the votes. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Andrew Luck. Though all of them are impressive this year, Hoyer deserves a ...

Photo By Matt Freed/Post-Gazette CHAMPS Brent Grimes For some odd reason, the Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator thought it appropriate to single cover Calvin Johnson Sunday with their best corner Brent Grimes. Grimes is a really good corner. He already has five interceptions this year. The problem is he is 5’10” (I think that is generous) and slower than the average corner. He isn’t slow, just slower. Well after being beat for a touchdown by Calvin Johnson in one on one coverage he was in one on one coverage again, was beat by a couple steps, and jumps what seemed to be five feet in the air to make a one handed catch. That is a big time play. Many people over the past 12 years have told me the same joke, “Do you know why the Raiders are so bad? It is because the eye patch is over the good eye.” Yea it is an old one, but now I’m really starting to believe it. The Raiders have had one embarrassing season, and it is only the halfway point. They have been blown out by teams like the Texans and Dolphins, and self destruct against games they have a chance to win against the Jets, Patriots, Chargers, and Browns. Were is the line between the coaches making bad calls, and players not doing their job? After an 0-4 start the Raiders owner Mark Davis fired possibly the worst coach in Raiders history Dennis Allen. That has been the highlight of the year for Raider Nation. There are problems to point out, but there are solutions that will get a talented ...

The Trade deadline is fast approaching. Big trades during the season never really seem to pan out for at least one of the sides. It is hard to learn a playbook and get on the field right away. It takes time and a lot of work as a team. But there are teams that are in desperate need for some playmakers, and even looking to get rid of players. Here are five trades that teams should make happen before the deadline The Houston Texans’ Andre Johnson to the Oakland Raiders The Texans all time leading receiver and future Hall of Famer doesn’t want to be there. He isn’t very involved in the offense, and that may have to do with lackluster QB Ryan Fitzpatrick inability to make accurate throws. The Raiders are the only winless team in the NFL, but they have a future star in Dererk Carr. He gets ...

CHAMPS Demarco Murray The Cowboys running back is leading the league in rushing through six weeks with 785 rushing yards. That is 143 yards more than the leagues 2nd leading rusher. Only Jim Brown and he have rushed for 100 yards in each game in the first six weeks.  He also has six touchdowns on the season. Derek Carr The Oakland Raiders 2nd round pick through for four touchdowns against a good Chargers defense. No rookie QB has passed for as many TDs (8) in their first five games as Carr. He is still 0-5 so I guess that small record doesn’t mean much to him at this point. Rolando McClain I was sure Rolando McClain would never play again. He Retired last off season, then unretired, quit on a conditioning test, then retired once more. Then I made fun of the Cowboys defense for having him as their starter. ...

The Oakland Raiders have fired head coach Dennis Allen. The Raiders waited for the team to get back from England before making the announcement. The Raiders decided to fire their worst coach probably of all time, over the phone. Maybe because they didn’t want to deal with him crying. After 2+ years Dennis Allen went 8-28 and constantly blamed his players instead of himself for mistakes and losses. Nobody in Raider Nation will miss him. Previous head coach Hugh Jackson had 8 wins in his only season. Maybe Mark Davis and Reggie McKenzie should beg Hugh to come back. The Raiders need to make a choice who will take over for Allen. Tony Sparano seems to be the logical choice. He is the only coach on the team that has seen success as a head coach in the league. ...

Raider Nation isn’t happy about Dennis Allen and the coaching staff. They are wondering why he is still coach, and why he was a better choice over former coach Hugh Jackson, who in his lone season went 8-8. Allen is only 8-28 in his 2+ seasons with the team. Here is the best reaction on twitter after the Raiders blow out loss in England against the Miami Dolphins. Why hasn’t Dennis Allen been fired yet Why hasn’t Dennis Allen been fired yet Why hasn’t Dennis Allen been fired yet Why hasn’t Dennis All — Chandler Miller (@CM_Draft) September 29, 2014 Raider fans, go follow @DAFiredYet for status on whether or not Dennis Allen is fired yet, haha. — CRBUKE (@CRBUKE) September 29, 2014 Time is right for #Raiders to fire Dennis Allen http://t.co/nF77j1ZOfF — RAIDERNATION NEWS (@YourAutumnWind) September 29, 2014 I’ll say this… Hue Jackson still has more wins in ...

Seattle Seahawks 1-1: The season is young, and everyone is bound to lose a game. There is no blueprint or secret the San Diego Chargers have. The offense looks great. It will take a second loss in a row to bump them from their spot. Denver Broncos 2-0: The Broncos won a game they should win. Their offense is fantastic, but when comparing it to last year it looks a few steps behind. After two weeks, Manning has one less TD than he did after week one in 2013. 3. Cincinnati Bengals 2-0: The defense looks like it would dominate any team. I can’t think of a much tougher matchup than facing Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Roddy White, Devin Hester and Harry Douglas. It wasn’t that big of a deal to that Bengals defense. You have to love what Hugh Jackson is doing with the offense, even when his top ...
